Mega Brave and Mega Symphonia reintroduce Mega Evolution into the card game for the first time since the XY Series and Sun & Moon Series, as powerful Mega Evolution Pokémon ex cards worth 3 Prize cards, utilizing the typical stage and Pokémon Evolution of their depicted Pokémon. This variant of Pokémon ex uses a black-and-yellow symbol.
The first cards, Mega Lucario ex and Mega Gardevoir EX, were revealed in the Pokémon Presents presentation on Pokémon Day 2025 with a standalone trailer.[1] Mega Brave and Mega Symphonia also introduce Full Art (SR/Super Rare, equivalent to English's ultra rare) prints of Item cards, Pokémon Tool cards, and Stadium cards for the first time.
*A new rarity introduced in these sets is the MUR (MUR/Mega Ultra Rare) rarity, applied to special gold-etched Mega Evolution Pokémon ex cards.
**Each booster pack contains 5 cards. Each booster box contains 30 booster packs. Cards within these sets are included in the English Mega Evolution expansion.
